This piece was designed as a video thumbnail for the YouTuber and content creator Welyn, based on the style of the video game Rust by Facepunch Studios. It was completed using Posca Paint Pens, Ohuhu Alcohol-Ink Markers, and Pencil.

It was completed while traveling on the big island of Hawaii in the town of Hawi, so the aquatic elements of the composition benefited from the environment and opportunity to study the coastal and tropical landscape.
